Day #6
So excited for today! I have been trading my skills of MAT© with a colleague of mine, Brad Merkley, every two weeks. We both have learned, our job is physically demanding and we require regularly scheduled maintenance to prevent injury. It is such a pleasure to work with him regularly. We help each other learn and grow at our skill so we are better able to help our clients achieve ultimate health sooner. It's wonderful!
I'm always on the table first. Normally, I will have an eversion foot limitation, a limitation in hip rotation, a limitation in hip adduction, limitation in trunk rotation and a limitation in cervical rotation. This was always the norm for me and it was always very important in the area we address and the order we addressed. If we didn't treat them in a specific order, I would totally blow up. By blowing up, I mean, I would have pain in areas I would never expect. For me, it was never too big of a deal because I use myself as an experiment. If I could do this with muscles, imagine what I could undo, is my thought.
Today was different! Today, I didn't have the limitation in my foot, hip, or trunk. They were gone and I didn't do any physical therapy to remove them. What I did do was change my eating habits. I removed gluten, dairy, and sugar from my diet. After ONE WEEK, the results were physically noticeable in my body! One cannot deny this! ONE WEEK!!! My body was moving better, instantly! WOW!!! We were now able to address the REAL problem in my body, my shoulder.
After my session, I felt energized, tall, decompressed, mobile, and best of all PAIN-FREE!!!! Yes, I was pain-free! I actually didn't realize I was in pain as it was something I just dealt with daily and I mentally adapted to it. No, I do not take any pain medications in a pill form or CBD oils. I have made the choice to feel each and every signal my body tells me as the body is trying to send me messages. I never ignore it. I only listen to it. This is key for me to heal my body and remain active.
Needless to say, after helping my body feel better, I had such an amazing day! Clients and then shopping for our yard supplies for tomorrow. It made me so happy! It is ironic how feeling better helps one's emotional state of mind. YES, → our physical state can affect our mental and emotional state of mind!
Do you listen to your body is telling you and do you listen to it?
See you on Day #7
