Some old habits snuck in today! I weighed myself! (insert big gasp!) I had promised myself to only gauge how it was going by how I felt internally. So far, I felt amazing! For some reason, I just had to step on the scale for the external validation I was doing a great job. By the way, the external validation of the number on the scale was in the positive direction, so it worked in my favor. I thought to myself afterward, what if the scale said I gained weight. What would have been my reaction then? Of course, I know the answer far too well as I played this movie over and over in my mind and life far too often. When I would not lose weight or gain weight, I would go through the mental beat down of me! All the excuses would come out and all the negative self-talk would come up. Then I would walk straight over the fridge and look for a way to hide my emotions by either food, drink or both. Self-pity! Such an awful thing!
Thursday is my favorite day of the week as I get to go to the airport as a White Hat Volunteer. I start my day bright and early at the Calgary airport. The airport fills my heart. The fellow volunteers are amazing and my new family and a majority of the passengers are awesome. I quickly learned that most of the passengers who are grouchy, it is their sh#t and not mine. I just wish them a great day and let go on their way and I go mine.
After my shift at the airport, I had lunch plans at the Azuridge Estate Hotel with my good friend, Sean Liv. Sean has been a very important person who has helped me go through many stages of my sense of well-being and the road to finding my spiritual happiness and peace. I believe it is very important to have all sorts of amazing people alongside you while you go through these crazy life events. Never did she judge! Never did she tell me what to do! Never did she offer to criticize. She always spoke from the heart. Looked at me through my soul for who I am. And she always encouraged me to forgive, forget and forge my own pathway through my own life. Sean was also the person who encouraged me to write my first book. Each visit, she will always ask on for a progress report too. Thank you, Sean, for never giving up on this girl and my journey!
My few short hours at the Azuridge was amazing as always! The healing energy at this property is second to none that I have ever visited. As soon as I pass through the gates to the property, it feels as though my healing begins here. Today I decided to sit in the warm and bright sun rays. We later walked around outside on the property of the estate. I wish I would have kicked off my shoes to walk through the grass so I could be in direct connection with the earthly energy that was beneath my feet. After the talk of our dreams and aspirations, we had a quick bite to eat in the gourmet restaurant. (Delicious, as usual!) I am always so grateful when I am on the property. The peace, tranquility, and harmony with mother earth and all her amazing creatures. If you have not experienced the Azuridge, I would highly recommend you do. Don't rush! Walk around the property. Have some lunch on the amazing patio. Explore the property and see all that it has to offer.
As I laid my head on my pillow on May 30th, 2019, I thanked the Universe and all it has to offer me. I truly am grateful for this world, this country, and my life.
See you on Day #5
