The quest for bananas and bagels led us into several interesting places and restaurants. It was fun! The end result was Dukes Cafe - half dozen fresh bagels and bananas.
Most of the afternoon was spent relaxing and laying around. We all ventured out of the hotel at 5:30 pm for supper at a cute true Italian Restaurant and served by real Italians too. Amazing food and fabulous wine and even better company!
After we had a team meeting to arrange a meeting place - pre and post for the race. Then off to bed we went. Yup a very broken sleep. Awake at midnight, sleep for 20 minutes up at 1am, etc. Yup, just like the first marathon.....a little restless.
Too boot, we have a time change today. Talk about worried about the time. We made it. Kevin and I are ready to rock. We were down in the lobby at 4:45 am to get a cup of coffee and wait for our friends. The elevators are crazy already. 5:15 am we depart for the NYC library where we catch the bus for the start line. Our wave depart on the race at 10:40 am. 20 layers over our running clothes and snacks packed!
Catch up to you tomorrow! I know my feet may feel broken but my fingers will still work!
Gotta run.........
Sheena & Kevin
